The Company won the Waitrose and Times Small Producer 2003 bakery category and went on the win the overall Supreme Champion 2003 Award. We were also judged Highly Commended in the 2003 Organic Food Awards for the Pure Butter Puff Pastry and Commended for the Cumin Seed Pastry.
Dorset Pastry delivers a unique customer experience based on the time consuming traditional methods of hand folding, turning and resting. The product is GM free and does not contain any additives or preservatives. Ingredients are sourced locally from the South West of England where possible
We have been in production since November 2001 producing ready rolled organic pastry for the Food Service. After an overwhelming response at recent trade shows we have expanded our production and are now launching our retail range. We have created a differentiated and competitive brand by tapping into current and emerging food trends while drawing on the ideology of the Slow Food Movement.
Our product is sold nationally including Harrods, Harvey Nichols, The House of Fraser Food Hall Birmingham, Fresh & Wild outlets, Planet Organic, selected Waitrose stores and several of Londons top restaurants.
Dorset Pastry is certified by The Soil Association (licence no P7870) an accredited certification body, applying the highest organic standards in the UK as well as the Dairy Products (Hygiene) Regulations 1995 (EC Directive 92/46) - HACCP.
The process of organic certification and our own internal quality assurance system ensures traceability and quality control. At each production stage there are auditable checks to maintain optimum quality as prescribed by the Soil Association and HACCP requirements.
